SierraWave was formed in 2009 to deliver a breakthrough Renewable Energy and Water Ecosystem ("System") that addresses critical global water and energy challenges with a Triple Bottom Line.
Google made information on the Internet more accessible to everyone. SierraWave makes renewable energy and fresh water more accessible to everyone. To quote one observer: “California’s high-tech community has concluded en mass that the next Google guys are going to be the visionaries who figure out how to harness the sun, build a battery to store the sun and wind and engineer the renewable fuel that won’t compete with the food supply".
The principals of SierraWave are proven entrepreneurs and inventors who have already helped transform the media and internet industries. They have now dedicated their lives to providing safe fresh water and renewable energy to everyone, everywhere.

SierraWave is focused on achieving a Triple Bottom Line by effectively serving enormous vital global markets and thereby achieving both recurring revenue, and measurable, positive environmental and social impact. Our far reaching patent pending portfolio and the extensive expertise of our seasoned management team insures commercial success. Our social and environmental impact will be guided and measured by our utilization of a novel cloud MIS system created by Newdea, a philanthropic information systems company co-founded by SierraWave's Jeff Dankworth. Newdea has agreed to co-develop with SierraWave new metrics whereby the true environmental and social impact of SierraWave's technology is measured against its stated goals and desired outcomes, such as: reduction of greenhouse gases; improvement of the lives of billions of people who live without adequate fresh water by significantly increasing their fresh water supplies; and mitigation of pollution of fresh water and oceans.

Access to clean fresh water and low cost energy can mean the difference between a family or nation surviving or thriving. SierraWave is committed to providing affordable access to safe fresh water and renewable energy to everyone through our low cost technology and manufacturing processes. These inter related markets are incalculably large and the success of the System will be measured with Triple Bottom Line metrics to the return on investment ("ROI") for the Environment, Society, and Investors.
As a colleague at UCI's Urban Water Research Center, Director Dr. Bill Cooper, has observed: "The need for water connects all living things and cruelly divides the haves from the have-nots. More than 1 Billion people in the world, 1 in 6, lack access to safe drinking water. Eighty eight percent of all disease is caused by unsafe drinking water. Water related diseases kill more children age 5 and younger than any other cause: every six seconds a child dies due to lack of clean water". But Water Crises are not the exclusive domain of third world countries: Global warming, aging infrastructures, industrial and agriculture chemicals and toxins, and population growth threaten water supplies in even the most sophisticated locales.
